Coimbatore: At the launch of his book 'Tamilaatrupadai' held at a private marriage hall on Trichy Road, Poet Vairamuthu described the Tamil language as an invariable language that is acclaimed worldwide, and that his book 'Tamilaatrupadai' was a result of four years of hard work.
Fondly known as Kaviyarasu Vairamuthu, the poet was all praise for Coimbatoreans saying, "Coimbatoreans are different from people of other cities in Tamil Nadu. They are well-versed in transforming cotton into thread. Likewise, they can turn a book into a textbook. Coimbatore has achieved an excellent name in the field of education, language, business, medicine and in various other fields," he lauded.

"If you speak in Tamil daily, you can acquire language skills and become an excellent speaker. He said that all the Tamil people should be exposed to this knowledge. The Tamil people are among the most valued, respected and honoured in society worldwide. Students have been educated that Tamil is still an invariable language that is acclaimed worldwide," opined Vairamuthu.
The poet also slammed schools that impose fine on students if they spoke in Tamil. "Whoever opposes me, opposes Tamil too. Tamil should be considered as an identity of the Tamil people and not as a language alone. I urge social media users to share only good things in social media," he added.
Vairamuthu's book launch event was organized on behalf of the Vettri Tamizhar Peravai. Industrialists Mariappan, Murugan, M N Sugumar, the Managing Trustee of Sri Krishna Institutions, Marabin Maindhan Muthiah and President of Vijay Park Inn, Ramesh also participated in the event.
